The bases are loaded with 2010 Topps Series 1 Baseball

This years Topps is a fully loaded product which starts off the Topps only era at a fast pace. First, those who like the more inexpensive retail packs, Target has a special promo for you. Unlike the stupid throwback symbol like last year, this year they went really old school with mini 1951 red back play ball style cards. A nice looking set to extend any collection. The base set cards have a 1990's look which is ok, some like it and some dont but atleast it isnt the hideous 2002 must yellow taking over the card look. The base set also comes in the assorted variants (Gold, black, platinum) like in previous years. Another popular insert series added this year is Tale of the Game. This series brings out history of the game in the eyes of those in the game. Speaking of history, two new series also stick out and strike a cord with collectors. The Cards Your Mother Threw Out collection is literally the front of every major card you collected and the back explaining their signifcance. History of the game rekindles select achievements through the history of MLB. A downside this year is once again Turkey Red is not a stand alone set but a sub set in Topps making it a hard to collect set. The When They Were Young set shows the way players looked when they were in highschool and the way they are now. Peak Performance inserts are a great way to look at the players in their prime and last but not least Legenday Lineage pairs up HOF players with current stars for a comparasion of stats.
